Defensive Vehicle Operations
This full day advanced level class focuses on fighting in and around a vehicle with a handgun.
Prerequisite:
Successful completion of Defensive Pistol 1
Topics covered:
Safely drawing from a seated position
Muzzle management around other passengers
Working with a partner
Ballistics Lab… Students are encouraged to bring their defensive ammunition and other firearms they would like to test during our Ballistics Lab.
Safely exiting the vehicle
Moving to safe points of cover on the vehicle
Required Equipment:
Pistol
Kydex outside the waistband holster
at least 3 magazines (more if low capacity)
500+ rounds of ammunition (or bring what you can & scale back round count per drill as necessary)
Sturdy Belt
Eye and ear protection
Knee pads
Brimmed Hat
Weather appropriate clothing (rain, sleet or snow we’re training)
Water, lunch, snacks. We will do a working lunch on the range

Spare Pistol
Individual First Aid Kit “IFAK”
Sunscreen
Note pad & pen
Long sleeves & Pants as we will be working around glass and gravel
Facemask for windshield debris
*A range fee of $25, separate from the registration cost, is required in cash the morning of your class. All other fees and target costs are included with registration cost. Please reach out if you have any questions.
