Defensive Shotgun
This course will give you a level of ability and comfort with your shotgun. You will be able to efficiently present your weapon from different positions and consistently make hits on your target at different distances. You'll also be able to perform a range of defensive techniques, such as malfunction clearances, reloads, handling multiple treats, and more. You'll understand the different types of shotgun ammunition and how to use each based on the situation.
This can not be your first long course.

Required Equipment:
Pump or Semi Auto Shotgun w/ iron sights or optic, and sling
250 rounds of Birdshot
25 rounds of slug
25 rounds of preferred buck load for self defense
A way to carry ammunition and be able to access it with your free hand
Eye and ear protection
Brimmed Hat
Weather appropriate clothing (rain, sleet, or snow, we’re training)
Lunch, snacks, hydration. We will do a working lunch on the range
Suggested Equipment:
Knee pads
Belt with pouches
*A range fee of $25, separate from the registration cost, is required in cash the morning of your class.
