Conceal and Carry
Illinois requires 16 hours of training, or 8 hours for prior training. Military with DD214 or active military ID are also 8 hours. All Students are required to fire a minimum of 30 rounds on a B-27 target approved by the Illinois State Police with 10 rounds at a distance of 5 yards, 10 rounds at a distance of 7 yards, and 10 rounds at a distance of 10 yards. The applicant must hit a minimum of 70 percent of the rounds on the target (70 percent would be 21 out of 30)

DAY1
Required Equipment:
Pen
Paper
FOID Card or proof that you applied for one, and another form of identification. (Ex. DL, State ID, Passport, etc…)
Lunch, snacks and hydration
*NO guns or ammunition in the classroom. All FOID laws apply to weapon transport
DAY 2
Required Equipment:
Pistol
Kydex outside the waistband holster
At least 2 magazines (more if low capacity)
Mag carrier for 2 mags
200 rounds of ammunition for your gun
Sturdy belt
Eye and ear protection
Brimmed Hat
Weather appropriate clothing (rain, sleet or snow we’re training)
Lunch, snacks and hydration
*A range fee of $25, separate from the registration cost, is required in cash the morning of your class. All other fees and target costs are included with registration cost. Please reach out if you have any questions. Please remember that all FOID laws apply to weapon transport.
